They occupy a vast selection of habitats and altitudes, such as deserts, grasslands, nearly any coastal or wetland habitat, mountains, foothills, coniferous and deciduous woodlands, and tropical rainforests. Along the Pacific, their assortment contains all of Baja California, including Islas Marías, and Socorro Island in the Revillagigedo Islands.
