For the most part, I wholeheartedly concur with its argument. The heroine of the novel Accident reveals that she's a victim of this also through an argument with her mom and sister (who was a target too), blasting them for their denial and insistence that it did not occur. Meanwhile, Telly and Casper walk to Telly's home and steal cash from Telly's mother, who is preoccupied with taking treatment of her new infant.
