The unfold of crimson foxes across the southern aspect of the continent has coincided with the unfold of rabbits in Australia, and corresponds with declines in the distribution of quite a few medium-sized ground-dwelling mammals, together with brush-tailed bettongs, burrowing bettongs, rufous bettongs, bilbys, numbats, bridled nail-tail wallabies and quokkas.
