The functions of the committee have been equivalent to those through World War I: traveling to and checking POW camps, organizing reduction aid for civilian populations, and administering the exchange of messages with regards to prisoners and lacking persons. ARC also delivered providers to entertain wounded soldiers at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital through the Vietnam War.
