August Bebel, an early activist of the German Social Democratic Party (SPD), printed his function Die Frau und der Sozialismus, juxtaposing the struggle for equivalent legal rights between sexes with social equality in common. In 1907 there was an International Conference of Socialist Women in Stuttgart where suffrage was described as a tool of course battle.
