The longest river is the Cagayan River in northern Luzon, measuring about 520 kilometers (320 mi). The Philippine eagle is portion of the household Accipitridae and is endemic to the rainforests of Luzon, Samar, Leyte, and Mindanao. Former Davao City mayor Rodrigo Duterte gained the 2016 presidential election, getting the initial president from Mindanao.
