Mandela devoted substantially time to fundraising for the ANC, touring North America, Europe and Asia to satisfy rich donors, including previous supporters of the apartheid regime. Mandela oversaw the development of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to investigate crimes dedicated less than apartheid by each the government and the ANC, appointing Tutu as its chair.
