On 16 July 390 BC, a Gallic military underneath the leadership of tribal chieftain Brennus, met the Romans on the financial institutions of the Allia River ten miles north of Rome. The metropolis of Rome grew from settlements all around a ford on the river Tiber, a crossroads of site visitors and trade. This brought about a trouble, in that Rome arrived to have a huge male population but was bereft of ladies.
