On sixteen July 390 BC, a Gallic military under the leadership of tribal chieftain Brennus, met the Romans on the banks of the Allia River 10 miles north of Rome. The town of Rome grew from settlements around a ford on the river Tiber, a crossroads of website traffic and trade. This triggered a difficulty, in that Rome came to have a huge male population but was bereft of gals.
