In 1923 Hoda Shaarawi established the Egyptian Feminist Union, became its president and a symbol of the Arab women's rights movement. In the Netherlands, Wilhelmina Drucker (1847-1925) fought efficiently for the vote and equivalent legal rights for women, through businesses she started. Third-wave feminists have a tendency to see the battle for trans rights as an integral portion of intersectional feminism.
