While aboriginal people account for about 4 % of the Canadian population, in 2013 they produced up 23.2 % of the federal penitentiary inhabitants. While suicide is a person of the most private, personal, and intimate acts imaginable, Durkheim shown that rates of suicide differed amongst spiritual communities-Protestants, Catholics, and Jews-in a way that could not be explained by the individual variables included in every specific scenario.
