Air tours are incredibly popular with Hawaii tourists. Thomas, discovered in the Caribbean, is within the Virgin Islands. We cyclists were met at the airport (some were picked up at the train station or a parking lot) by the early morning shuttle which took us two the town of Stonington, a lovely fishing community. Many journeys consist of guided tours to these sights.
