On 1 May 2012, the Culture, Media and Sport Committee issued a report stating that Murdoch was "not a in shape human being to workout the stewardship of a big international firm". On 14 July 2011 the Culture, Media and Sport Committee of the House of Commons served a summons on Murdoch, his son James, and his previous CEO Rebekah Brooks to testify just before a committee five days later on.
