The cover artwork was provided by Cal Schenkel whom Zappa fulfilled in New York. It also contained quite a few extraordinary sequences of clay animation by Bruce Bickford who had earlier offered animation sequences to Zappa for a 1974 Tv exclusive (which became available on the 1982 online video The Dub Room Special).
