In the late nineties, the COPINE undertaking ("Combating Paedophile Information Networks in Europe") at University College Cork, in cooperation with the Paedophile Unit of the London Metropolitan Police, created a typology to categorize baby abuse illustrations or photos for use in both of those exploration and law enforcement.
