In the summer time of 2013, the comedy function movie Such Good People starring Michael Urie and Randy Harrison was totally shot in Silver Lake, in and all-around the property of screenwriter/producer David Michael Barrett. Musician Father John Misty’s album I Love You, Honeybear has the music "Nothing Good Ever Happens At The Goddamn Thirsty Crow", which references a popular tavern in Silver Lake.
